Grigorios Kalliatakis, PhD is a collaborating researcher at Computational BioMedicine Laboratory (CBML) of Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). Dr. Kalliatakis’s research interests are in the areas of computer vision, deep learning, unsupervised learning, and representation learning, focusing on applications to healthcare. Prior to joining CBML in 2022, Grigorios was a Senior Research Fellow at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), University of Warwick UK, where he worked with Giovanni Montana on the development of an AI system to aid risk-stratified breast cancer screening. Grigorios received his Ph.D. from University of Essex in 2019, where he was advised by Klaus McDonald-Maier. Grigorios has participated in large-scale UK research projects (ESRC and Cancer Research UK) as well as EU-funded projects. He has authored more than 20 publications in high profile journals and conferences (Radiology, CVPR, ICCV).
